July Highlights

Psalm 37:23 "The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives."

INTRO Even though I'm not on the field yet, I still think it's important to share monthly updates. Life is ministry and ministry is life. Opportunities come to us every day to minister unto the Lord and I don't want to forget what God is doing even now.

JULY HIGHLIGHTS

• I went to Christian Celebration Center on a Monday night for prayer. In a room of about 150 people, we prayed for the nations, people groups, and missionaries all over the world. Just seeing that many people giving up a Monday night to pray for their missionaries filled my heart to the brim. I was so honored to be a part of it. After a time of prayer and worship, the Europe team and I separated into another room when I got to introduce myself and share what the ministry would look like in Heidelberg. Some of them have even been to Heidelberg to visit the church/coffee shop I'm going to be working with! How cool is that?! Later I went out to dinner, hosted by CCC, with other missionaries that were visiting as well. It was great to glean wisdom from some awesome women of God I sat next to and encourage one another.
  

• I got to share my heart from the pulpit at Beacon of Hope Church. It was such a precious time. We laughed, we cried, and I shared testimonies of how the Lord has been using me and calling me to this ministry. This church is one of the friendliest churches I've ever been to!
  

• My boss gave me the opportunity to share about my mission's trip to the Dominican Republic to my department at my day job. I was so excited that I got to share what God did while we were there and encourage others to also be lights for Jesus in their communities.
  

• After getting to snorkel in the Dominican Republic on a free day, I was so inspired by the experience that I decided to pursue getting scuba certified here in Michigan. This is my last week of training before I go to a lake for testing. I love the water and look forward to the people I will get to connect with in this new hobby!
  

• I saw Ed Sheeran in concert in Detroit with my cousin. It was awesome to get to spend time with family and do something out of the ordinary.
  

• I am currently at 38% of my monthly commitments. Once I am fully funded, I can apply for clearance for the field, and then I can go. There is a lot of work to be done. Would you consider partnering with me?
  

CONCLUSION Right now my calendar is wide open for August, September, and some of October.
